Usage Directions

• Balance the water pH to a range of 7.2-7.6 before beginning treatment.
• With the filtration system running, carefully pour one scoop (included) of Bio-Dex Alum into the skimmer, then broadcast the remaining contents evenly across the pool surface.
• After approximately 2 hours, or once the filter pressure gauge shows a 5 psi increase, shut off the filter and allow all dirt and debris to settle to the pool floor. Full settling may require 10 to 12 hours.
• Vacuum the settled sediment directly to waste. DO NOT vacuum to the filter.
• Clean the filter cartridges or backwash for 3-4 minutes depending on the filter type, until the water runs clear.
• Restart the filtration system.
• Rebalance water pH to 7.4-7.6 and total alkalinity to 80-120 ppm based on your sanitizer type. Target 80-120 ppm for sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite, and 100-120 ppm for dichlor, trichlor, or bromine tablets.
